Surveyors Retain Golf Trophy!

Surveyors Retain Golf Trophy!

It was a good day on the golf course for the team representing the West Midlands region of the RICS, as they took the honours in the annual competition against the West Midlands Regional Architects Golf Society (May 10).

The teams played 18 holes at Kings Norton Golf Club where the course, set in 220 acres of rolling Worcestershire parkland, provides an exacting challenge for keen amateurs of all abilities.

Although the golfers had to contend with grey skies, the rain mostly held off and the surveyors emerged the winners with a score of 2.5 to 1.5.

Delighted to retain the trophy, the surveyors collected a host of additional accolades for their fine performances. David Smith posted the day’s best Stableford score, with Gerard Belfield and Seinde Balogun finishing in second and third respectively. David also clinched the award for Nearest the Pin, whilst Gerard won the longest drive competition.   Click here to download a PDF of the full results.

First established several decades ago, the surveyors vs. architects golf day is a keenly contested event in the West Midlands property industry’s social calendar. If you are an RICS member in the region and would like to take part in the 2020 golf day, please register your interest by emailing:
