Wakemans Building Surveying Team were appointed as Contract Administrators to manage this project on behalf of Travelodge Hotels Limited. The existing hotel required extensive works to preserve its grade II listed facade, windows and architectural stonework, which was showing significant deterioration and structural damage due to factors related to weather damage, age the hotel’s general state of repair.

Like many multinational businesses Travelodge had originally outsourced its maintenance requirements to external reactive maintenance suppliers, however the process had proved costly, slow and inconsistent. Travelodge employed Wakemans as Project Managers to look at alternatives to this and suggest a more efficient and economically viable way forward.
