National property and construction consultancy Wakemans has joined the list of approved consultants and contractors currently being drawn up by long-established Midlands property company A&J Mucklow Group.
Wakemans is one of ten consultancies to have met Mucklow’s strict criteria during an in-depth assessment carried out by a professional risk management company. This incorporated an audit of CDM services, professional indemnity insurance, training and health and safety policies to ensure compliance with current legislation.
Like all industrial and commercial property developers, Mucklow is obliged to vet the competence and professionalism of the consultancies and contractors it employs. The company, which currently has a £225m investment portfolio, decided to simplify this process and save time by assembling a list of preferred suppliers.
“We welcomed the opportunity to submit our credentials for consideration and are delighted to be accepted as an approved consultant to Mucklow, which is not only well-known and highly respected as a developer, but also as a company that achieves high tenant retention over the long term because it maintains hands-on management of and reinvests in its properties to ensure they are attractive,” says Wakemans director of client services James Shelley.
“Mucklow has recently completed design and build offices at Apex Park, Worcester and industrial/warehouse accommodation in Wednesbury and Yorks Park in Dudley is due to complete at the end of the year.
