National property and construction consultancy Wakemans has two new Travelodge projects on site and under construction in Chichester and Whetstone.
The two £7million mixed use projects will provide 172 new beds for Travelodge, above retail outlets in strategic town centre locations.
Wakemans is acting for the developer, Hallway Properties Limited (a trading arm of Jansons Properties), as Employer’s Agent, Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor on the Chichester scheme that is located opposite Chichester Cathedral. An existing post office on the ground floor will be retained and continue to trade throughout the works.
Wakemans are acting for Travelodge on the Whetstone project which is on the site of a former public house which has been demolished on the High Street. A Halfords unit will be incorporated into part of the ground and first floors.
Both projects are scheduled for completion at the end of the year.
Wakemans advises Travelodge on programming, operations, technical matters and the construction of a large proportion of their portfolio. They are currently instructed on ten projects under construction and advising on many more possible developments. |
