National property and construction consultancy Wakemans has completed work on phase two of The Cobalt Centre, a £2m office development at Middlemarch Business Park, near Coventry.
Wakemans acted as quantity surveyor, project manager and CMD co-ordinator on behalf of Cobalt Developments, specialists in developing land to provide its own concept in flexible business accommodation.
Wakemans also provided development consultancy services to Cobalt Developments and worked closely with its funding providers on both the first and second phases of the scheme.
Phase two of The Cobalt Centre comprises six two-storey units ranging in size from 2,217 sq ft to 14,348 sq ft (206 sq m to 1,333 sq m) with countryside views. The development occupies a prime position just off the main estate road to the 110-acre award-winning Middlemarch Business Park, which lies two miles south of Coventry city centre.
Middlemarch Business Park is the area’s leading mixed use business centre. It enjoys excellent links to Coventry Airport and the Midlands motorway network and is already home to Volvo, Corus, Walkers Snack Foods, Parcelforce and P&O Trans European.
“The Cobalt Centre’s high specification office accommodation is available for sale or to let and offers SMEs, especially owner-occupiers, a highly flexible business space solution. It is expected to have a particular appeal to businesses that are looking to invest in commercial property within a pension fund so as to secure their long-term future,” says Wakemans managing director John Woodhall.
