News - Wakemans Bids Farewell and Welcomes at Office Reception

National property and construction consultancy Wakemans held a reception to mark the retirement of Senior Executive John Roberts and to introduce the clients of Allsebrook & Hadley to the Wakemans team following the acquisition of the business by Wakemans last year.

Former Allsebrook & Hadley Partners Lionel Martin and John Roberts relocated to Wakemans’ head office in Edgbaston as Divisional Director and Senior Executive respectively, and the business name is still retained as a trading division of Wakemans.

John’s role at Wakemans was  focussed on integrating the Allsebrook & Hadley business into the Wakemans organisation, ensuring that existing clients and consultants were made aware of the benefits of being part of Wakemans.

John is looking forward to an active retirement after more than forty years in the business.  He, and his wife Patricia, are keen walkers and intend to explore new routes, both at home and abroad. He is also the proud owner of a classic MG, and plans to spend more time taking this out on the  road.

“John has done a fantastic job in bringing together the two businesses and Allsebrook & Hadley is now well established as an integral part of Wakemans.  We wish him well for his retirement.  We are sure that he will not be taking it too easy, as he has recently become the proud grandfather of triplets, so that should keep him busy!” says Wakemans Managing Director John Woodhall.

Allsebrook & Hadley has established a substantial client base in various sectors, including arts, education and leisure, a typical example of which is its recent appointment on a new £2.1m community sports project for Milton Keynes Council.
