News - Wakemans Completes on Second Community Project in Wales

National property and construction consultancy Wakemans has completed work on a second community project in Wales.   The recently completed Dyffryn Ardudwy and Talybont Village Hall has been relaunched with an open day and charity concert following a £450,000 refurbishment and improvement programme.
The project was dealt with by Wakemans Caernarfon office that also completed another important community project last year; the £555,000 renovation of a Grade 2 Listed building for The Prichard Jones Institute.  This important heritage project has secured the future of a historic building and improved the community facilities on Anglesey.
Wakemans acted as designer and CDM co-ordinator on the Dyffryn Ardudwy and Talybont Village Hall, which enjoy an excellent view over Cardigan Bay.  The facility now benefits from a community café with internet access, new changing rooms and an extension that provides toilets for people with disabilities.
Land adjacent to the Hall has been used to provide a car park and this is lit using wind and solar turbine technologies.
“We are delighted to have played a key role in the sympathetic redevelopment of Dyffryn Ardudwy and Talybont Village Hall,” says Dylan Morris, associate director at Wakemans’ Caernarfon office. More News
