Lionel joined Wakemans in May 2008, following Wakemans’ acquisition of Birmingham-based Chartered Quantity Surveyors Allsebrook & Hadley, where he was a Partner. He has wide experience in quantity surveying, project management and cost consultancy, and has been involved in a broad range of projects in the education, arts, leisure and commercial sectors.
Recent projects include the redevelopment of Telford United FC’s Bucks Head Stadium incorporating leisure, conference and hotel facilities, the new Deaf Cultural Centre in Birmingham for Birmingham Institute for the Deaf and a new residential care home in Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire. He acted as Employer’s Agent for the recently completed football stadium for Forest Green Rovers FC in Gloucestershire.
Lionel adopts a pro-active, practical approach to all projects, to ensure that the Client’s development objectives are achieved. His extensive experience in the preparation of feasibility studies, cost plans, tender and contract documentation, payment valuations and final accounts contribute to effective cost control and risk management in construction projects of all types and sizes.
