John has wide experience of tendering arrangements, cost control and the settlement of final accounts for a variety of commercial, industrial and domestic projects employing many forms of contract and methods of procurement.
Progressed to senior level in both the pre and post contract departments of the Company gaining experience in estimating, financial control and the various procurement routes for construction works including the preparation of tender documentation.
Specialisation has included consultancy on financial matters relating to contracts where there are elements in dispute, with some emphasis on contracts awarded in the service installation industries. As a result expertise is offered covering, general contractual advice, administration, preparation, negotiation and settlement of contractual claims, to the more specific work of providing expert reports and acting as an expert witness in formal dispute proceedings.
Particular responsibility for providing management and co-ordination services, to the construction industry and it's clients, this role has involved the development of the Wakemans Management Services Division, filtering from Head Office in Birmingham through to Branch Offices.
Striving to maintain a consistent quality service to ensure that project and client requirements exceed expectations. Close liaison with clients to fully understand their requirements, at all levels, and tailor our services accordingly to address their needs, this involves effective communication and team building skills to satisfy the project brief and success through all stages.
